Day 1: Kusadasi

Arrive in Kusadasi where you will check into the hotel.   The rest of the day is yours to either have a rest or go and explore this harbour town.  In the evening you will be introduced to your guide and fellow travellers.

Day 2: Ephesus, Kusadasi

Ephesus

Immerse yourself in history as you are guided around Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis.
Experience the fascinating and spiritual mood the ancient theatre and city evoke before visiting the house of the Virgin Mary.
Turkey has many traditions, one of which is carpet weaving.
Enjoy the opportunity to discover how carpets are traditionally hand made, and how their value is calculated, at the carpet village.
Spend the night in Kusadasi at the 4 star Grand Onder Hotel.

Day 3: Pamukkale, Hierapolis

Pamukkale

Before visiting the impressive travertine (white calcium) terraces of Pamukkale and the ancient site of Hierapolis there will be a demonstration on local, skilfully handmade leather goods.  Immerse yourself in the hot springs, used by the Romans for their therapeutic properties, surrounded by ancient columns.
Spend the night in Pamukkale at the 5 star Colossae Thermal Hotel.

Day 4: Aphrodisias, Fethiye

Aphrodisias

We visit the ancient ruins of Aphrodisias as we travel south towards the Mediterranean coast.

Day 5: Fethiye

Fethiye

You can choose to relax on the 12 Islands day cruise around Fethiye or go to one of Turkey’s most outstanding locations on a day trip to Saklikent Gorge, the longest canyon in Turkey.
Spend the night in Fethiye at the 4 star Ata Park Hotel.

Day 6: Kayakoy, Antalya

Kayakoy

Make the most of the opportunity to visit the abandoned Greek Village of Kayakoy before continuing the journey to the resort of Antalya.
Spend the night in Antalya at the 5 star Dedeman Park.

Day 7: Perge, Aspendos

Perge

Visit the ancient remains of Perge, with its awesome stadium walls, and see one of Asia Minor’s most preserved theatres in Aspendos.  This theatre is currently still in use.

Day 8: Konya, Cappadocia

We leave for Cappadocia early in the day, visiting the Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi mausoleum and museum in Konya on the way.
Later in the day we stop to visit the biggest caravansary in Anatolia, the Sultanhani Caravansary.
Spend the night in Cappadocia at the 5 star Crystal Kaymakli Hotel.

Day 9: Goreme, Uchisar Castle

Goreme

The landscape, Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and much more will fill you with a sense of wonder and astonishment.  The Turkish folklore evening, not obligatory, is something you won’t want to miss.
Spend the night in Cappadocia at the 5 star Crystal Kaymakli Hotel.

Day 10: Ihlara Valley, Underground City

Enjoy discovering the hidden facets of the multilevel underground city and hike through the naturally stunning Ihlara Valley.

Day 11: Ankara

Ankara

We will travel to Ankara, Turkey’s capital, early in the morning in order to visit Anitkabir, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s mausoleum.  Afterwards we will travel back to Istanbul.
(Alternatively you can fly to Istanbul in the morning from Kayseri, Cappadocia)
Spend the night in Istanbul at the 5 star Crown Plaza Hotel – Harbiye.

Istanbul

The tour ends after breakfast with farewells to your new friends and transfer to the airport.
